It's a shame that we are so bad at cricket that when we finally win a Test Series against the Aussies the whole country goes bonkers, overshadowing our results at Blenhiem this weekend.

Still, it's nice to take part in a sport where we get so used to success that it's failure that is newsworthy. Not that we should expect success for much longer if the dressage becomes more influential. So well done Team GB!

My biggest pleasure of the weekend was reserved for the French who managed to beat the Germans. Something that no doubt went some way towards sweet revenge for the Germans robbing them of their rightful place on the Athens podium.
